I am upgrading a wltoys 144001 to brushless. I should have waited since they are upgrading the 124017/124016 with a 19t pinion and a 4300Kv. However, I am using a 120A hobbywing ESC and I don't have an issue with cogging. It makes for a very spirited car. I recommend a gyro enabled transmitter/receiver to keep things under control under acceleration. I am using a Flysky FS-GT5 which is awesome.
